CWV welcomes Alysia Johnson Fullen and Carlos Vazquez, as senior consultants. Alysia will co-lead the Newark Collaborative, working with six nonprofit organizations to develop and launch business ventures over the next 10 months. Client Highlight
CWV is working with the American Pharmacists Association Foundation to develop a sales forecasting tool, oversee a potential partnership, and guide the creation of an advisory committee. 

United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona has hired CWV–both the venture consulting and the SFV teams–to identify and research the feasibility of several earned income opportunities based on its assets, which include a new state-of-the-art facility designed for indoor and outdoor physical therapy activities, case management expertise, and experience working with consumers from birth to the elderly. 

CWV is conducting a six-part workshop series for nonprofit executives in Tyler, Texas. The CWV team will guide local innovative nonprofits in identifying assets, developing a venture, and creating a business plan.


New SFV Clients
Social Franchise Ventures is working with the Washington, DC, office of Living Classrooms, based in Baltimore, to determine the franchise concepts that Living Classrooms could own and/or operate in conjunction with the new baseball stadium and the waterfront development. The Living Classrooms Foundation provides job training for at-risk youths,

The Central Middlesex Association for Retarded Citizens (CMARC), in Woburn, Mass., part of the national ARC organization, has hired Social Franchise Ventures to determine franchise opportunities that can generate jobs for people with disabilities and can create unrestricted income for the organization.
