Dear Friends,
I am writing to share several exciting
changes and developments at Community Wealth
Ventures.
In the past few years, under the leadership
of co-Managing Directors Amy Celep and
Heather Peeler, CWV has experienced
tremendous growth, thanks in large part to
the cadre of nonprofits and foundations that
have sought out CWV's distinct brand of
consulting to develop market-based
approaches to social change. 2009 was one
of the best years in the firm's history in
terms of financial performance and social
impact. Early results for 2010 indicate
another strong year ahead.
Based on this solid foundation, I am pleased
to announce two important changes in CWV's
leadership. Heather Peeler, co-Managing
Director, has accepted a position as Chief
Strategy Officer at the Corporation for
National and Community Service. Her last
day at CWV is May 7. Amy Celep has been
promoted to President & CEO of Community
Wealth Ventures. Amy will continue her
steady and insightful leadership of the firm
as we embark on a new phase of growth and
development. Amy will be joined by Director
Sara Brenner, who has been promoted to Vice
President & Director of Client Services, and
the talented team of consultants and staff
members who tirelessly work to deliver
top-notch consulting to our clients.
Please join me in congratulating Heather,
Amy and Sara for their new leadership
positions. I am very excited about the
opportunity for CWV and its expanding family
of supporters to have ever more impact on
the growth, sustainability and innovative
capacity of the social sector.
With warm regards,
Billy Shore
